Children’s Social Care Consultant Manager
(Independent Consultancy – Children’s Residential & Regulation 44 Services)
Location: UK-wide (office-based Bare, Morecambe, with travel to services)
Contract: Full-time or Associate (flexible)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
£42,000 - £50,000 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays & travel allowance.

We don’t do box-ticking. We work alongside providers to improve outcomes, strengthen leadership and raise standards in children’s services.
We are growing and are now seeking an experienced Children’s Social Care Consultant Manager to join our senior consultancy team.
The Role
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role combining consultancy, quality assurance and strategic support to children’s residential services.
The post is both office-based and field-based, with regular visits to children’s homes and providers.
You will also act as Assistant to the Operations Director, supporting the coordination, quality assurance and delivery of consultancy services across the organisation.
You will:
• Lead consultancy support to children’s homes and providers
• Support and deputise for the Operations Director where required
• Oversee Regulation 44 Independent Visitors and quality assurance activity
• Provide constructive challenge and mentoring to Registered Managers
• Support new home registrations, improvement plans and Ofsted readiness
• Carry out audits, reviews and service diagnostics
• Ensure high-quality written reports and action plans
• Act as a senior professional voice for Grahams when working with providers and local authorities
This is not a desk-based role — it is about being visible, credible and respected by managers, directors and frontline staff.
Who We’re Looking For
You must have:
• Significant experience in children’s social care
• Senior leadership experience in children’s residential services (e.g. Registered Manager, RI, Operations, Responsible Individual, Consultant)
• Excellent understanding of:
◦ Children’s Homes Regulations
◦ Quality Standards
◦ Regulation 44 and Regulation 45
◦ Ofsted frameworks
• The ability to challenge professionally and support positively
• Strong report-writing and communication skills
• High integrity, professionalism and emotional intelligence
You should be someone who can walk into a struggling home and bring both authority and reassurance.

We are looking for an Administrator/Quality Assurance Assistant.
Come join our team.
We are looking for an administrator, Quality Assurance assistant for an initial 12 months, with the possibility of extending after review.
The role is very flexible to work around childcare if needed, which is why we are offering the role on 24 hours ( happy to cover the 24hours over 3 or 4 days if needed to accommodate school pick up).
Based at our Bare Office on Princes Crescent, Morecambe.
